FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Dr. Henry W. Roberts, II, Ph.D./D. Min.

Henry W. Roberts, II, is the son of the late Mr. Henry W. Roberts, Sr. and Mrs. Theresa M. Roberts. He is a native Mobilian and graduate of McGill Toolen High School. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine  Arts/

Communication from Dillard University inNew Orleans. While continuing his education in pursuit of a Master of Divinity Degree from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Dr. Roberts received his Doctorate of Ministry and Ph.D. in Religious Philosophy from Friends International Christian  University. Dr. Roberts was led of God to become a home missionary and he began planting churches where the Lord would lead.

Dr. Roberts, then seeing a need in the area of youth ministry, was called to Southern Normal High School in Brewton, Alabama, to be the Dean of Students and Campus Minister. After obtaining tenure there, he was called to a larger campus with a student population of over 700 at the Piney Woods Country Life School in Piney Woods, Mississippi. While there, he served as the Dean of Students and Campus Minister.

Later, the Lord moved Dr. Roberts back to Mobile where he worked in the Mobile County Public School System and served as a Special Education instructor. Still under divine guidance, Dr. Roberts started a small Bible

study in the home of a friend, which led to the establishment of the Word of Life Community Church. On July 18, 1992, the church held its first worship service with eleven people in attendance. Since that time, Dr. Roberts has pastored the Word of Life Community Church in multiple locations (including Whistler, Chickasaw and Brewton, Alabama as well as Pascagoula, Mississippi), serving thousands of people in the Gulf Coast area. He is a renowned teacher/speaker with a radio and television ministry that reaches thousands in Mobile and surrounding areas.

In 1993, Dr. Roberts founded the Word of Life Christian (Bible) College to prepare men and women for service in the Kingdom of God. Also under the leadership of Dr. Roberts, the following programs have been established: a child care center (Word of Life Learning Institute), a free tutoring program for all ages, an adult education program for those individuals interested in obtaining or completing their high school diploma, a Street ministry, and the Word of Life Institute

(Christian School K-12).

In addition, seeing the need to take proactive measures to combat the escalating social trend of teenage violence, Dr. Roberts founded the “Stop the Madness Community Summit.” This event has become an annual one and brings together young people with myriad agencies, community leaders and concerned citizens to implement both awareness and action in curtailing violence among our young people and conveying to them that people truly care for them.

Moreover, Dr. Roberts is a leader of leaders. Having humbly accepted this role, and with the guidance of God, the anointed man of God founded the International Fellowship of Independent Interdenominational Christian Churches and Ministries (IFIICCM), which currently has membership throughout the Southeast and as of 2014, branches as far away as the Philippines, Pakistan and Ghana, Africa.

The fellowship meets quarterly and is conducive to the strong foundations for and edification of Kingdom leaders ranging from apostles and prophets to evangelists, missionaries and more. It is the goal of Dr. Roberts to see the Word of God—the admonishment of Jesus Christ Himself—fulfilled, that he and  those led by him literally “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever [Christ] ha[s] commanded . . .” as seen in Matthew 28:19-20. Mighty leaders have been established through this fellowship, and a vision remains for many, many more to follow.

Dr. Roberts has a loving and devoted wife, Sherry, along with three sons, Jeremy, Henry W. Roberts, III (Tre’) and William Joseph.
